Server Problems - Really aggravating
I've been having this problem for the last 2 days now:
"Guild Wars was unable to connect to any login servers. This is very likely caused by an Internet routing issue.
If this problem persists, please visit the Guild Wars support website (Code=058)."
WTF Anet? I haven't been able to log in to the game unless I spam log in for an hour straight. Only to get kicked off due to err 07 half an hour later.

Have you done a trace route or anything at all to see if it is something other then ANET. I love how some people assume that it is Anet servers because they can't get on, yet thousands and thousnads of others log onto the same servers just fine.
Weird how that works isn't it?

I'd love to do a traceroute if I had a degree in networking -.-
What I DO know is I'm able to log into Perfect World just fine, I can play Counter Strike online just fine, and my downloads are all running at the rated speeds just fine. But I can't log into Guild Wars' servers. At all.
Funny how that leads one to certain conclusions, isnt it?
Edit: Just so I'm not accused of jumping to half assed conclusions, I googled "traceroute", read up on it, and got the following results after I tried it out.
Now, tell me what that means, and wtf is going on with Anet?

Yep, I am dealing with similar issues, last night I was err7'd at least 10 times in a 2hr period, something that I could probably total that over the last year prior to that, was only after doing the "stealth update" that this begun. =\

I started this thread earlier today and contacted support. What a waste of time.
What annoys me is that they wash their hands of it, but if everything else is working fine, then obviously it is what they have built into their game that has a problem. I don't tell my comp how to connect to their servers I just click the GW icon.
Am I missing the point or something?

Yes.
It doesn't mean Guild War's servers are having problems just because you and a few others are having problems. You aren't connected directly to their server. Your information travels through several servers to get to Anet. If any go bad then your connection goes bad. It can be as simple as dns needs updating or something else has gone bad along the way.

OK thanks for that. I was aware that packets got passed on several times on the way, but I don't understand how every other game and itunes and internet ....in fact EVERYTHING except GW can work fine.....but it still isn't GW at fault????
My ISP support is looking at the diagnostic for me now, although they said that they don't have any problems. I know for a fact that i am not the only person in Guernsey, playing online games....but possibly the only 1 still playing GW it seems.

The other games, web pages etc are just using different routes to reach their destination. You would only have problems with those too if its something on your end or your ISP (unless some used the same path).

Those little 2 stars indicate trouble. After the first hop which is your home network, hop #2 is your ISP's network, and it looks like there is trouble on it. One traceroute won't really tell you much either do like 10 over a spam of 10 minutes. For some reason on hop2 twice, the network didn't respond back within 4 seconds(default relay time).

Several DC-s I saw in HA today. Also, it happened that noone could cast a spell for like 1,5 mins, then it was fine again.
